Hurry, hurry, squirt the water… Hurry, hurry, squirt the water… Hurry, hurry, squirt the water… Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!”

 

 

 

What an exciting way to end our week – with a field trip to the Carlsbad Fire Station!

 

 

 

Along with our Mommies, Daddies, even Grandmas and Grandpas, we were given the chance to explore the fireman’s quarters, see their dining and living room, and learn about their day at the fire station.

 

 

 

The firefighters talked to us about fire safety, and what to do in case of an emergency. They also showed us all of the gear that they use when fighting fires. We learned that they can put all of their gear on in less than a minute! WOW! One of the most important things that we learned during our field trip is that the fire fighters are our friends – we should not be scared or run away from them because they are simply trying to keep us safe.
